Call him the buzzer-beater. High school senior guard Joe Baker (Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation), who plays for the New Town Eagles in North Dakota, landed a three-point field goal that earned him the number one spot on Sportscenter’s Top 10 plays on Thursday.

New Town was playing Rugby in the North Dakota State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament when Baker hit the shot in the first quarter.

"When I shot it, I wasn’t expecting it to go in,” Baker told WDAZ-TV. “But after I put it up, it looked like it could go in. I’ve never made one from that far out before. I’ve made some from halfcourt. But never from that far."
