Circling Raven Golf Club and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Win National Acclaim
Circling Raven Golf Club and Coeur d'Alene Casino Resortwon distinction from Golfweek magazine in its 2014 America’s Best Resort Courseslist.
The 620-acre course was designed by architect Gene Bates and has been a national award-winner since it opened in 2003.
Golfweek dispatches hundreds of raters annually to grade courses in 10 areas, including conditioning, variety and hole memorability.
The list of esteemed courses appears online at Golfweek.com and in Golfweek’s 2014 Ultimate Guide to Golf Course Living and Great Escapes print publication.
Tribally owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alenes, Circling Raven also earned elite-list status from GolfDigest earlier this year. Out of more than 13,500 courses that were under consideration, the golf club was featured as one of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses 2013-2014.

The Circling Raven Golf Club also announced its 10th Anniversary Contest Awards Winners. John Posnecker of Spokane Valley, Washington, was the grand-prize winner of 10 free rounds of golf.
There were also five contestants who won a stay-and-play package for two people, which included two rounds of golf and a hotel stay in the luxurious, new Spa Tower rooms.
The golf club opened in 2003 and celebrated its anniversary season by awarding packages on the 10th of each month during the 2013 golf season. All participants were entered to win the 10-round free-play package.
