Tribes seek more slot machines
Two San Diego County Indian bands are hoping to leverage a recent court decision in efforts to expand their casinos without having to strike new deals with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Rincon and San Pasqual tribes, both near Valley Center, say they should be allowed to add hundreds of slot machines to their casinos by virtue of deals they struck in 1999. Both have lawsuits pending in San Diego federal court.
