Erica Ayisi

Erica Ayisi is an award-winning multimedia Indigenous Affairs Reporter with PBS Wisconsin in collaboration with ICT (formerly Indian Country Today). In this role, Erica reports on the 12 Native American Tribes in Wisconsin. Previously, as a freelancer, Erica reported produced a PBS Rhode Island documentary about America’s first Native (Wampanoag) and Black whaling merchant millionaire Paul Cuffee in Rhode Island. Her international reports on colorism in Jamaican politics, chocolate entrepreneurship in West Africa, the human hair industry in Cambodia and Black atheism in London, capture experiences from diverse communities around the world. She has worked as on-air local news reporter ETV News in Ghana, Spectrum 1 in Central Massachusetts and as an editorial desk assistant for NBC’s Nightly News. Erica is also a former educator having taught media literacy, tv/video production and English Language Arts in Massachusetts. A graduate of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Erica holds a masters and bachelors degree in Communication Arts. Erica enjoys exploring off the beaten path adventures around the world.
