These Yaqui Indian descendants in Texas have found a way to use the 21st Century to their advantage.

The group has created www.texasiaki.webs.com to track their Indian ancestry. The site hosts all of their records and documents dating back to the 1800 and Indian villages in Sonora, Mexico. Includes photos, links, census records, birth and death records and more.

Now when needing to claim proof of Indian ancestry, instead of needing a ID card the members can reference the site.

I am interested in this unique development as an NFN story. Say 700 words for a deadline of Oct. 15. Story should be on the site and it’s unique use and what it’s strengths are. Can this site be used as a legit means of proof for arguments?
