A Rogers High School graduate who became the nation’s first American Indian female dentist will enter the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame this month. Jessica A. Rickert was honored by the Board of Education as a distinguished alumna and on Oct. 21 will be among 10 hall inductees. She will join a list of more than 200 women who were either born or lived in Michigan, including Rosa Parks, Aretha Franklin and Gov. Jennifer Granholm.
