I’m surprised to see no mention of Mervin Wright Sr.’s passing. The local tribal leader gained national attention for appearing on Dick Cavett with Marlon Brando in 1973. Mervin’s Pyramid Paiutes leadership made “American Indian Water Rights” a household phrase.
