Thank you so much for the Perspective, ”Johnson v. M’Intosh: The Christian right of colonization,” by Steven Newcomb [Vol. 27, Iss. 34]. The christian church is responsible for more that is bad in the world than is good. (I purposely spelled christian and christianity with a small c. This is part of my protest against the champions of ignorance and oppression.)
The horrors that our brothers and sisters of Indian country have endured in the past and are still enduring today are the result of christianity and its perverse world view.
The truth of the matter is that the christians are unable to understand another culture nor do they want to. Whatever progress the peoples of Indian country make will have to be of their own doing and their own courage. I truly believe that when the christians destroy themselves and their culture that the peoples of Indian country will survive to build a better world.
Love and peace to all of my relatives.
