It has been a tough year for the Havasupai tribe of Arizona. But this week, relief is on the way. In August, floodwater swept through the tribe’s village at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Most of the homes were spared but the surrounding area, renowned for its beauty, was devastated. The blue-green water was thick with mud. The bridges crossing Havasu Creek were washed out, and the waterfalls they lead to were unrecognizable.
