State Atty. Gen. Jim Hood said Wednesday that Mississippi taxpayers may be liable for damages from a frivolous lawsuit if Gov. Haley Barbour sues Choctaw Indians over their planned gaming facility near here. Barbour wants to block construction of a facility that he says would contain only slot machines and a snack bar, which is a departure from other Mississippi gaming operations that are coupled with hotel rooms, golf courses and other amenities.
