Bureau of Indian Affairs officials will meet with leaders of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes today to quell escalating tensions between tribal members on both sides of a controversy surrounding the governor and lieutenant governor. BIA special agent Mike McCoy said the meeting is to get a sense of the concerns from Gov. Janice Boswell and Lt. Gov. Leslie Wandrie-Harjo. The meeting comes nearly two weeks after a tribal trial court issued an order barring Boswell from the tribal complex and suspending her from office.
