The Bureau of Indian Affairs says the disputed recall of Dry Creek Rancheria Chairman Harvey Hopkins is an internal matter for the tribe to sort out. But on Thursday, a defiant Hopkins insisted he is still the legitimate head of the tribe, which runs River Rock, Sonoma County’s only Indian casino. “I am still the chairman,” he said. “Clearly, I haven’t given up my seat.”
