Jerry Talbot hunched down Sunday and began bouncing to the accelerated beat of a leather drum, doing the familiar steps of the war party dance his ancestors once used. Talbot, of the Choctaw Turtle tribe and Louisiana Band of Choctaws, learned the dance as a child from his grandmother, a full-blooded Cherokee Choctaw.
