The Nanticoke Indian Association’s annual powwow is a celebration of culture, dancing and food. And according to Odette Wright, curator of the Nanticoke Indian Museum, those three components attract thousands to the two-day event every year. “It’s a great (opportunity) to get together with other people and different tribes,” she said. This year’s event is slated to kick off at 10 a.m. Sept. 11 on Route 24 near Millsboro.
