A Wapato man was acquitted Wednesday of racketeering charges related to cigarette sales on the Yakama reservation. Roger Fiander faced 33 counts that resulted from a four-year federal probe of a Coeur d’Alene Indian reservation smoke shop that was selling untaxed cigarettes to two tribal smoke shops on the Yakama reservation.
