The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan has begun the process of removing some members who don’t meet the tribe’s requirements for membership. The tribal council voted 6-5 on March 17 to begin the process of removing members whose lineage is not correctly traced to the tribe’s historical rolls.
