LAS VEGAS – At the Global Gaming Expo in November Rocket Gaming Systems announced that a lucky player at the Nooksack Northwood Casino in Lynden, Wash. became the first person to win the Gold Series top prize on Nov. 16, winning the prize amount of $1,031,234.25. The award is the largest ever for Northwood Casino.
The Gold Series is an exciting new Class II bingo game from Rocket, the business enterprise of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Business Development Authority. Northwood Casino is the newest property owned by the Nooksack Tribe, a federally recognized American Indian Nation of more than 1,800 enrolled members.
“We are excited to have the first of what will be many top prize Gold Series winners,” said Ronnie W. Harris, Rocket CEO. “Players love the Gold Series games not only for the chance to win the top prize, but also for the exciting bonus features and four-level progressive prizes.”
In addition to awarding the top prize, the MBDA will make a donation to the National Indian Gaming Association. As a major sponsor of NIGA, the MBDA donates a portion of the revenue generated by Gold Series games played at NIGA-member gaming facilities.
“Thank you to Rocket Gaming and to the MBDA,” said NIGA Chairman Ernie Stevens Jr. “We appreciate the MBDA’s sponsorship of NIGA. We will use this donation to help further our mission of protecting tribal sovereignty and tribal economic opportunities, including Class II gaming.”
“As one of the early innovators of Class II high-speed electronic bingo, Rocket has been dedicated to the promotion and protection of the ‘cornerstone’ of Indian Gaming: Class II gaming,” Harris said. “NIGA’s use of Rocket’s sponsorship funds to advance its mission of supporting Indian gaming is exciting. Rocket is very proud to support NIGA’s efforts.”
Rocket’s Gold Series games are currently installed in more than 40 Indian gaming facilities. The Gold Series consistently ranks as one of the top performers on these gaming floors. For more information about the Gold Series contact Joyce Clouse at (877) 315-2288.
