The seven-day, 400-mile journey across four states began on January 9 in Nebraska. It was just 16 degrees when runners, ranging in age from 8 to 85, broke out of the Fort Robinson barracks, just as their ancestors did in 1879.
The run ends in Busby, Montana where more than two dozen men, women and children killed during the outbreak are buried.
