The Maine State Tribal Commission has asked school administrators at RSU 12 to change the district’s mascot because the tribes believe ‘redskins’ is offensive. Parents, school staff, and members of Maine’s indian tribes packed into Wiscasset High School’s library Thursday night to discuss the issue.
