Chelmsford Public Library will be holding its Second Annual Genealogy Discovery Day on October 20 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. It will give attendees a chance to learn how to use genealogy databases and research tactics.
The event is free and will feature experienced volunteer researchers who will give 20-minute genealogy consultations. Each attendee will receive a free welcome packet with information on free genealogy websites and tips on how to start genealogical research. Attendees are encouraged to bring any family information they can including names, place of residence, birth dates, marriage dates, maiden names and even occupations.
The event will be held at the library, 25 Boston Road, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
