Florida police report that a Seminole lawyer who was shot several times last month has been released from hospital and gone into hiding.
Jim Shore, 56, of Emerald Hills, left Memorial Regional Hospital on Feb. 5 and was recovering well from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Lt. Tony Rode of the Hollywood Police Department. Police confirmed he was staying at an undisclosed location.
Shore, who is blind, was home alone on Jan. 9 when he was fired upon through a glass patio door. He was critically injured in the leg and forced to undergo surgery after calling 911.
Police said Shore had not received any threats before the shooting and are continuing their investigation.
The Seminole Tribe has posted a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting.
