On September 22, Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) addressed those in attendance for the Tribal Law and Order Act Hearing.
Thune expressed pleasure for the passing of the Act last year before asking Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs Larry Echo Hawk to explain the background check process from the beginning to the time of hire for possible employees.
