Today both houses of Montana’s 61st Legislature came together in a joint session to hear the State of the Tribes address. The speech was given by the chairman of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, James Steele. Steele began his speech by recognizing Crow Tribal Chairman Carl Venne, who recently passed away.
