It wasn’t Justin Murphy’s mother or grandmother who taught him the Native stories of how the Big Dipper came into existence. A member of the Chippewa Cree tribe, Murphy is the first in his family to really learn and hear stories about his Native American culture — and he’s done so by attending Great Falls Public Schools Indian Education summer program for students much like himself.
