Caught off-guard by a potential tribal casino in Park City, the partners in a proposed state-owned casino for Sumner County want more time to figure out how to deal with the threat. At their request, the state’s casino review board voted Tuesday to send the contract it had signed with the Kansas Lottery to build the Chisholm Creek Casino Resort near Mulvane back to the Lottery for further negotiations.
