The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara tribes will join a partnership with the North Dakota tourism department to promote reservation sites during the upcoming Lewis and Clark Bicentennial. Chairman Tex G. Hall said state Tourism Director Allen Stenehjem has agreed to work with the tribes to attract more tourists. Hall said a scenic highway designation and a state map with enhanced American Indian cultural activities are among plans discussed.
