Still waiting on a decision. That is what Matt Smith, public information officer for the Tohono O’odham Nation, said last week when asked about any activity or talks concerning the tribe’s request for trust land designation on a parcel of land it purchased at 91st and Northern avenues. The Tohono O’odham Nation unveiled plans last winter to develop a resort-casino on the property, and the City of Glendale has opposed such a move.
