Fort Lewis College’s Pueblo Alliance announced events and keynote speakers for the 7^thannual Feast Day, taking place March 11 from 12-6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building.

This year’s theme is “Family, Farming, Feast: Planting the Seeds of Our Future.”

Indigenous keynote speakers include:

The 2024 feature film, "Aberdeen," co-written and co-directed by filmmakers Eva Thomas and Ryan Cooper, stars Gail Maurice, left, as the title character, along with Billy Merasty, center, and Liam Stewart-Kanigan. The Cherokee Nation Marshal Service has assigned an investigator to the 1977 slayings of three Girl Scouts at Camp Scott near Locust Grove. In addition to the speaker presentations, there will be Pueblo dance groups, workshops, and Indigenous vendors. A traditional dinner will be served at 5 p.m., followed by a traditional “throw” from the Student Union Balcony at 6 p.m.

Feast Day is open to the public.

Pueblo Alliance is an on-campus club dedicated to cultivating Native American Pueblo identity at Fort Lewis College.
