Fort Lewis College

Fort Lewis College’s Pueblo Alliance announced events and keynote speakers for the 7th annual Feast Day, taking place March 11 from 12-6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building.

This year’s theme is “Family, Farming, Feast: Planting the Seeds of Our Future.”

Indigenous keynote speakers include:

  • Aaron Lowden (Pueblo of Acoma), Indigenous Seed Keepers Network Program Coordinator

In addition to the speaker presentations, there will be Pueblo dance groups, workshops, and Indigenous vendors. A traditional dinner will be served at 5 p.m., followed by a traditional “throw” from the Student Union Balcony at 6 p.m.

Feast Day is open to the public.

About the Pueblo Alliance

Pueblo Alliance is an on-campus club dedicated to cultivating Native American Pueblo identity at Fort Lewis College. Pueblo Alliance is committed to bringing together diverse groups of students to network, share, and learn about the rich culture and identity of the 21 Indigenous Pueblos throughout the southwest. Pueblo Alliance’s mission is to work together to organize fun, exciting events on campus, and give students the opportunity to get to know one another in an atmosphere that celebrates the values of community, Pueblo-style.
