Summary
Crews quickly responded to the Arkansas Loop Fire on Saturday evening, buildlng fire lines which proved to be beneficial in the suppression. The fire progressed directly to the line, which held the fire to only 12 acres.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be lightening recent storms bringing much needed moisture to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation.

Fire conditions are still moderate. Portions of the Reservation have received little to no moisture, but fire conditions are slowly improving.
