Society of American Indian Government Employees
Registration is now open for the Youth Track of the National Training Program hosted via Zoom, June 21-22, 2022! Since 2005, the Society of American Indian Government Employees has incorporated a track devoted to American Indian youth at its annual training program. SAIGE offers registration at no cost for Native students from Tribal and mainstream colleges, universities, high schools and middle schools.
Formed in 2002, Society of American Indian Government Employees is proud to celebrate 20 years of respect, culture, and education. The 2022 Youth Track is a leadership development program that advances the search for meaningful careers in the government sector or in the multitudes of civil service professions, including skilled trades. The Youth Track features career information, conversations, and lectures led by motivating professionals who want to encourage young leaders along their paths to success.
Come meet influential voices like the creator of Ojibwe Word of the Day, James Vukelich Kaagegaabaw (@jamesvukelich), and leadership expert D.J. Eagle Bear Vanas, who has spoken in board rooms, tribal nations, and the White House. At the Exhibitor Hall networking session, meet representatives of federal agencies, like the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as generations of Society of American Indian Government Employees members. Learn what it takes to develop, improve, and further explore your opportunities through engaging conversation with presenters. Get meaningful feedback from those who have walked your track before, as the Society of American Indian Government Employees alumni panel shares stories of how the Youth Track launched them into their current careers.
