The Red Nation Film Festival took place on November 12, and the honorees included familar faces and a previously-unheralded winner.

The latter was the film Among Ravens, which captured the award for Best Picture. Its directors, Randy Redroad and Russell Freidenberg, took home the Best Director award as well.

The familiar faces included some of Indian country’s favorite actors, with Zahn McClarnon, Roseanne Supernault, Jeremiah Bitsui and Irene Bedard all winning awards. Comedian JR Redwater, who co-hosted the ceremony with Red Nation founder Joanelle Romero, was also honored.
