On Feb. 17, Kosovo declared its independence with the world media glaring. On Dec. 19, 2007, the Republic of Lakotah reaffirmed and reasserted its territorial sovereignty and independence. [The event] met with a near media blackout.

Such an occasion should have been marked with pride and celebration. Rather, it was minimized by the very people its welfare was intended for. The IRA Lakota leadership from their nationhood rejected such a concept as though it were a dinner topic. But to settle the question, let all Oceti Sakowin (Lakotah, Nakota, Dakotah) hold a unified single referendum coordinated by a central committee. For the Republic of Lakotah this is the age of awakening to the truth. The Red movement is resurging from Bolivia to the Oceti Sakowin, and the world will respond.
