Paul Chaat Smith dug deep into the disputed role of the American Indian as he read from his new book released in February. Smith spoke at the Wexner Center Thursday about the hardships of life as an American Indian. His book, “Everything You Know about Indians is Wrong,” is a collection of essays Smith has been writing since 1974. He read two chapters from his book, stories about his personal and professional experiences with the American Indian Movement, where he worked as an activist in the 1970s.
