U.S. Department of Energy – Office of Indian Energy
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy, in coordination with the National Conference of State Legislatures, will host the 2019 National Tribal Energy Summit September 24–26 in Washington, D.C. With a theme of Tribal Energy: Powering Self-Determination, the Summit will bring together tribal and state governments, federal agencies, tribal corporations, private industry, utilities, and academia to explore cross-cutting and cost-effective solutions to national energy interests.
The Summit will feature a keynote by Under Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes and an introduction by DOE Office of Indian Energy Director Kevin Frost. Concurrent panel discussions will focus on energy policy, science and technology, economy and regulation, and jobs and workforce.

Who
The Summit is designed for elected tribal leaders, tribal executives, tribal staff, and tribal media.
Costs and Registration
Registration is $75 for tribal representatives, and advance registration is requested.
