June marks the start of Pride Month and includes drag shows, parades and panels. ICT gathered a few that showcase the Indigenous people who are proud to take part in this month’s festivities.

June 1 – The National Museum of the American Indian hosted four Native panelists, moderated by Christian Allaire, to talk for the panel, “Youth in Action: Wearing Our PRIDE | Juventud en acción: Luciendo nuestro ORGULLO.” It’s available on demand in English and Spanish captions. June 2 – The Leech Lake Tribal College in Cass Lake, Minnesota is having a LGBTQIA2S+ Pride and Open House Celebration. There will be live music and info vendors.
June 2 -The Indigenous Ways Festival – Pride in the Park in Santa Fe, New Mexico. More information is here.
June 2 – The Heard Museum in Phoenix is hosting “First Friday in June: Live Painting by Indigenous LGBTQ+ Artists!” Free admission is from 4 to 8 p.m. local time. More information is here.
June 2 – International Indigenous Music Summit Pride Party in Toronto, Canada is a ticketed event and will have performances. More information is here.
June 3, 4 – Portland Indigenous Marketplace is celebrating with Native vendors, live music and food at the PSU Native American Center.
June 4 – Indigenous Pride LA will be marching with Indigenous Pride LA at West Hollywood Pride Parade. They said to arrive in regalia or comfortable clothing.
June 9 – Spokane Falls Two-Spirit Powwow. There will be a parade, Indigiqueer showcase and more. The event is free and more information is here.
June 17 – Sioux Falls Two-Spirit Wacipi. There will be a free community meal, drag performances, a contest and more. More information is here.
June 20 – Navajo Nation Pride events kickoff with its opening ceremony. The official virtual event will start at 6 p.m. DST.
June 22 – Native Americans in Philanthropy is hosting a Two-Spirit & Indigenous LGBTQIA+ Experiences webinar session. The event is open to the public and starts at 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Indigenous panelists will discuss how philanthropy can work differently to better support our Two-Spirit and Indigenous LGBTQIA+ relatives. Registration is here.
June 23 – Native Pride Extravaganza, sponsored by the American Indian Museum, will have celebrations and performances in New York City. The event is free. More information is here.
June 24 – The Navajo Nation Pride Parade will start at the Navajo Nation Museum parking lot starting at 10 am DST.
