Mashpee Wampanoag citizen Sherry Pocknett has been cooking locally and seasonally since she was growing up on Cape Cod in the 1960s. She is the owner of the Sly Fox Den Too and her daughters, Jade Pocknett-Galvin and Cheyenne Pocknett-Galvin, make dishes that include fish, venison and squash.

When Pocknett found out she was a regional semifinalist for the James Beard Award, she says she was honored and shocked. ICT Senior Producer Vincent Moniz spoke to the nominee and she says her dishes are fueled by love and family.
