The Redhawk Native American Arts Council recently held their 24th annual FDR Pow Wow and Native American Festival at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights, New York.

The two-day event featured dancers from both North America and South America. Some of the nations represented were the Dakota, the Haudenosaunee, the Aztecs and the Shinnecock Nation.

In addition to the pow wow festivities, organizer Cliff Matias addressed the fight to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. After Matias spoke, dancers carried a blanket around the arena to raise funds for Sacred Stone Camp.
