Johnny Flynn, assistant professor of religious studies and American Indian program director at Indiana University – Indianapolis Campus, has been monitoring the issue of disenrollement as it grew in California.
He believes it’s only a matter of time that it spreads through Indian country. The attached link features a discussion with the Citizen Band Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma member on the impact of a growing trend towards dis-enrollment of tribal members for speaking up, challenging politicians or that ask questions of their tribal leaders.
