What the h— does Ross Swimmer mean by ”…what we’re paying for?” (”’Settlement concepts’ offer remains viable in Cobell case,” Vol. 26, Iss. 34).
The $8 billion settlement is a pittance to what the government should be really paying the Native peoples for the insidious rip-offs perpetrated by the U.S. government for the past 200 years! They should consider that figure a bargain. They turned the term ”trust” into a bad joke!
