Yesterday, April 14, Native American students at Columbia University hosted their third annual pow wow, dubbed “Taking Back Manhattan.” Members of the New York City Native American community and hundreds of students, both Native and non-Native alike, turned out to dance and celebrate American Indian culture on a beautiful spring day on the campus of the 259-year-old Ivy League university.
