Following a request to return sole legal jurisdiction to the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek signed a proclamation accepting the request. CTUIR is the first to issue such a request after a March 2025 bill that passed the state senate, establishing a clear process.
