Lakota citizen Dr. Jacob Weasel is the first Native American to summit Mount Everest. Founder of the non-profit “Wopila Project,” Weasel created the organization in order to raise money on his expedition to build a playground for Lakota kids in Rapid City, South Dakota – and to create health clinics for women in Nepal.
